Christina Grimmie shot dead as she signed autographs

Christina Grimmie who was a former contestant of America’s ‘The Voice’ in 2014 has died after she was shot at a concert in Florida.
Christina Grimminent was targeted while signing autographs after performing at the Plaza Live venue in Orlando.

The shooter who is yet to be identified reportedly killed himself after being tackled by the singer’s brother.
Orlando Police confirmed her death in a sad tweet:

“With deep regret, we have confirmed Christina Grimmie, @TheRealGrimmie has died from her injuries.”

Police spokeswoman Wanda Miglio said a man with two guns walked up to the 22-year-old near a merchandise table and opened fire.
Grimmie was hit at least once, reports Sky news. The shooting occurred about 10.30pm local time.
Witnesses say people tried to give her CPR at the scene and she was initially described as being “critical” in hospital before being confirmed dead.
A Hot dog stand worker Josh Call witnessed it and told Sky news that there had been four or five gunshots.
